O Lord, We Pray for the Universal Church

O Lord, we pray for the universal Church . . . for their truth, unity, and
stability, that love may abound, and truth flourish in them all; we pray for all
thy ministering servants that they may rightly divide the word of truth . . .
that teaching others they may themselves learn both the way and the truth . . . we
pray for the kingdoms of the world, their stability and peace; for our own
nation, kingdom, and empire, that they may abide in prosperity and happiness, and
be delivered from all peril and disaster . . . unto all men everywhere give thy
grace and thy blessings; through Jesus Christ. Amen.
